For poor academics.

We were a favorite of his in HS, but we didn't offer because of his academic problem.

Howell is a real burner and would be a great return guy for someone.

Maybe he goes to a JUCO and straightens himself out. If so, I wouldn't be surprised if he then ends up at USF.
