What needs to happen for the Bulls to succeed? Why?Here are mine:1. Grothe stays healthy. Grant has come a long ways, but as Grothe goes, so goes the Bulls. This guy is our heart and soul.2. Continued maturity of our younger players, especially the freshmen. We need Zach Hermann, Mike Ford, Jamal Taylor, Bogan, Love, Alcner, McClain, McQueen and others to move their games up a notch.3. A little more consistency from the kicking game; especially FGs. Kick coverage could be better, and better production from our return game would be nice.4. Our 'playmakers' need to produce. Mr. All-American, George Selvie needs to be a force every game. Ford needs to hang on to the ball and shows signs of dominating. Matt could improve his decision making. McKenzie needs to be the defense. Taurus and C. Mitchell need to be consistent. And Nate Allen needs to become a big time ball hawk.5. To steal one from Bien, rapid development of either Q. Washington or The American Dream. We are gonna need a good second cover corner when we hit Louisville and Rutgers. An injury to J. Murphy would almost be as disastrous as one to Grothe.6. A quiet, productive summer would be nice. No arrests, grade issues, deaths, injuries, et al would help us get ready for 2008.7. Good weather in August. Please, no d@mn hurricanes!Go Bulls.Normal

THEN we'll have the balance we need to more effectively run our spread.

We need consistency2) Less Grothe runnning and more from our backs. 3) Better run blocking up front. Our O-line will be key to keeping Grothe from running the ball. If our line leaks he will have to run. 4) Kicking5) Special teams - picking up fakes and creating opportunities.

Grothe is no longer a surprise coming out of the backfield. Play calling has to be stronger to not rely on 8 getting out to the flats.2. Dile and Schmidt (huners?), need to stay healthy and create a strong left O line.3.Selvie has to come in even stronger, quicker, defense needs to step up around him to give him inside opportunities. If the DT can be strong to take a double team, Selvie will lead the country in sacks.4. Kicking game, I have no doubt both will be stronger this year.5. Kick return has to give us good field position.6. WE have to be the 12th, 13th adn 14th man on the field to bring it all together and override the referees. And Grothe stays healthy.
