Why isn't there a Bar named...

"The Bullspen" or "Rocky's" or something of that nature???

I always thought that these names would be great for new campus bars...

Actually...a secret plan of mine would be to use the Lake that surrounds the botanical gardens and make a nice size pier with Bars and restaurants that all have a Bulls theme.  What do you guys think???

a bar on campus would be nice.

but im willing to bet without even looking into it....that there are way too many hurdles to jump for that to happen.

plus so many drinking age students live off of campus but near campus.

and go to bars like peabodys which is the bar that was within walking distance of my off-campus apt.

and on the other side of campus there is fridays, copper top, appelbees, etc....

The jump in the drinking age in the 80's killed a lot of the great dive bars on Fletcher.  That and at the time Ybor rising in popularity.  But Fletcher used to have 4-5 cool dives to just go drink draft and play bar shuffle board.  Michaels was one. and the GROG.... I believe Bruno's Pizza is on that site now.

The Hair academy was a good bar too, but cannot recall its name at the moment.
