Guest AstroBull Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Goals by King, West, and Schoendorf.  Brenner had some awesome saves.  There was a good amount of people there too.  These guys just dominated SMU from the beginning.  Their next game is Sunday vs. Alabama A&M. ÂÂ
Guest HowieP1 Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 That's a great quality win.USF will be competing for a National Championship in men's soccer within a few years.
Guest AstroBull Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 I think next year we will have a real good chance. Not a lot of seniors on the team. We have a real good freshman and sophmore class. Come watch these guys play they are awesome.

Guest HowieP1 Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 From the SMU site:#5 Mustangs Fall to USF, 3-0, in Men's SoccerThree First-Half Goals Scored by USF Tampa, Fla. - The fifth-ranked SMU men's soccer team fell to host USF Bulls Friday night in the USF/Holiday Inn Invitational by the score of 3-0. With the loss, SMU falls to 3-2 on the season while USF improves to 4-0 overall. It's been six years since the Mustangs lost by three goals or more (at #22 Saint Louis - loss by the score of 3-0 on Sept. 22, 1998). Though the Mustangs outshot the Bulls, 16-10, SMU could not finish those shots to get on the scoreboard. SMU goalkeeper T.J. Tomasso allowed all three USF goals. SMU continues play in the USF/Holiday Inn Invitational on Sunday afternoon, taking on FIU. Kick-off is slated for 12:00 p.m. ET and will be broadcast liveIt just shows what a couple of good recruiting classes can do for a sports program. USF was 7-8 last year.
