Bulls and Johnnies Game 1 Thread

First pitch is about 5 minutes away.  Need to win this game.

Listening to the St. John's feed, since I couldn't get the 1010 feed working.  The guy is actually pretty good.  He's a bit excitable at some points in favor of SJU, but thats to be expected.  Seems to have done his research on the Bulls.

Going to the bottom of the 2nd, 0-0.

Middle of the 3rd, still 0-0.  This St. John's pitcher is dealing.  No hits allowed in 3 innings.  Just hit our #9 hitter, but thats his only blemish so far.

Watching the game on the tracker lets you also see the scores of other games of interest.  As of right now, Villanova leads at Rutgers 2-1 in the fifth.  Notre Dame also leads Pitt 1-0 early.

DT got into a bit of trouble that inning.  After 3 completed innings, SJU leads 1-0.

C'mon Bulls, need some baserunners.

Leave it to Ryan Lockwood to get things started.  Make it a 29 game hit streak for Ryan.  Great job!

Had to switch it over to 1010, maybe it will be a lucky move.  Middle of the 4th, SJU still leads 1-0.  We better start hitting or this game will sneak by us.

DT gets into trouble again, but leaves runners stranded at 2nd and 3rd.  Bulls trail 1-0 after 4 innings.

Bulls shoot themselves in the foot.  With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Corey Johnson strikes out and Victor Pina gets picked off of 1st prior to giving Maruszak a chance to drive home the tying run.  Brutal baserunning.  Middle of the 5th, still trail 1-0.

Thomas walked the first batter of the 5th and now a double drives him home, 2-0 now with no outs.
