Come on people, Eriksen has done more with less than anyone I can think of at USF. Every year, they are competing. I worked with this program for 3 years when I was at USF, and you won't find a better group of people.

If you have a chance, drive out to our softball field, park where you have to park for a game, walk the half mile to the field (exaggeration I am sure), and sit in the bleachers. After you have done that, come back and tell me it isn't disgusting. Oh, you should venture down toward the bathrooms as well, because they are really close enough where you only have to miss an inning or two if you time it just right.

The grounds crew usually does a great job with the field itself, but there is only so much you can do. I was there when we hosted the C-USA tourney in 2002, it was not the best situation. How much easier would it be to make a run at the world series if you have the facilities to host the Regional tournament?

Give the program some love. Just don't drive to the grocery store this week, and you will save $20 in gas alone.

I completly agree. Hell I'm still a student and I would donate to this program.

Problem is, where is $1000 going to get you in regards to a new facility?

I thought there was already talk about building a new field for them? What's the status on that?

That field is almost so bad that we are close to having a Title IX violation.

I was there for a game in '07, and it wasn't that bad.  It was old and the bleachers were small and tight, but there was a charm to it.  I didn't venture into the bathrooms, so I can't speak for them.  Parking does suck for the current field, as you have to walk across the intramural fields, but that will all change with the new softball project.  Eriksen has done a great job here, and I think Prado will be right behind him with the baseball team in 1 or 2 years.  Exciting times at USF for the bat sports.
