Rutgers is in for it when they visit Ray Jay this year.  No more Ray Rice, Brian Leonard is history... it's ON.

Rutgers is going to be anally violated so bad, they'll think they just won The Dating Game with Jay Bergman.

you are wrong if you think they will not have runners to step in and pound the ball

We don't care! Post that on the Rutgers board!

Normally this would be on the Big East board.  Since it is a slow time of year, more topics are being allowed on the Main Board to keep things hopping.

Many of us do care, as we want to see what's going on with our Big East brethren/competition.

I was more so referring to that fact that 90% of his posts are negative USF and positive Rutgers.

If you don't like Smazza's posts then don't read his threads only to complain on them.  You don't speak for the majority.

Looking at Rutgers last two recruiting classes... they've brought in exactly two running backs, both speed backs.  They did bring in a fullback, Jourdan Brooks, who looks to be a bruiser.

USF has proven it can handle speedy backs... it's the up-the-gut-pound-your-face-in backs we have problems with, like Ray Rice.

If Rutgers is trying to become a speed team like WVU, we'll pound the living snot out of them.

Pricey pigskin for Rutgers

Wednesday, May 07, 2008

BY LISA KENNELLY

Star-Ledger Staff

The pricing for the new club and loge box seats at Rutgers Stadium was officially released yesterday, and it's not for those with thin wallets.

The bill will run more than $3,000 for one of 852 club seats, and more than $17,000 for one of 28 four-seat loge boxes. The seat itself is only $650 for the seven home games, but the big bucks go toward the annual, partially tax-deductible gift.

Despite the steep cost, deputy director of athletics Kevin MacConnell said the school's ticket office received "a ton of phone calls" yesterday from interested buyers, including current season-ticket holders, fans on the ticket waiting list and corporate groups.

The premium seating includes exclusive parking privileges, an all-you-can-eat buffet and access to two sports bars serving the only alcohol in the stadium. The club seats, currently under construction on the mezzanine level, are part of a two-year, $102 million expansion of Rutgers Stadium.

The brochure with information, mailed out this week to 15,000 people, is also available online at scarletknights.com/stadium/clubbrochure.pdf

Pricing info:

Club Seats

Annual premium seat gift: $2,500

(80 percent tax deductible)

Ticket price per seat: $650

Total: $3,150

Loge Box (four seats per box)

Annual premium box gift: $15,000

(80 percent tax deductible)

Cost per box $2,600

Total $17,600

We need to pipe the "Rutgers Video" from 2006 into USF's locker room before, during, and after the game.  Maybe that should motivate our guys.

I still think if we hadn't been ranked #2 when we visited Rutgahs last season, we would've won.  It's hard to move when you've got a bulls-eye on you.  Worst yet, when it's the first time...
