PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers football team was ranked No. 22 in Athlon Magazine's Preseason Top 25 poll, which was released today on AthlonSports.com. The Scarlet Knights return 15 starters from last season's 8-5 squad that won the program's second consecutive bowl with a 52-30 victory vs. Ball State in the International Bowl.

Senior wide receiver Tiquan Underwood (Lawrenceville, N.J.) is featured on the cover of the Eastern edition of Athlon's Preview Magazine, which hits newsstands June 6.

Nine players collected Preseason All-BIG EAST honors according to Athlon. Underwood and senior free safety Courtney Greene (New Rochelle, N.Y.) earned First Team All-Conference accolades.

RU Reels In Solid Recruiting Class

Posted by Aurelio Vincitore February 08, 2008 10:06AM

The Scarlet Knights received a signed promise to attend Rutgers University from 20 prospects who should help elevate this program in the not to distant future. Among the group of signees are several star players who may contribute right away. Look for guys like DT Scott Vallone, Colonia LB Eric LeGrand, and Manasquan OT Art Forst to see an opportunity to play right away. Others like Teaneck's lightning fast RB Rashad White, WR Keith Stroud, ATH Tim Wright, and stud Florida QB D.C. Jefferson hold a lot of promise for future production.

Here is a full list from the official site.

Here is a mini bio for each player.

Rutgers is in for it when they visit Ray Jay this year.  No more Ray Rice, Brian Leonard is history... it's ON.

Rutgers is going to be anally violated so bad, they'll think they just won The Dating Game with Jay Bergman.

Its not murderer's row, but it isn't that bad.  You've got Fresno State, UNC, and Navy.  All decent teams.  And then you have Morgan State and Army.  Ours isn't much better.  Without Kansas on there it'd be pretty weak too.
