Apparently from local news report (WESH 2 - Orlando) it had something to do with a Harrasment allegation.  I am sure our UCF friends will be on soon to spill the beans.  Sounds like UCF gave him 48 hours to resign and when he didn't they fired him.  Just going by what I heard on the news while I was working.  Very strange.  I met their head baseball coach once at a golf tournament.  Seemed like a good guy.

Who da thought O'Leary would outlast the guy with a field named after him?  Wow.

Maybe this harassment stuff is just a smoke screen and they're really pissed that they've been manhandled by USF.  :giggle

How awesome is this?  Hire this guy now, and he and O'Leary can share fake war stories over beers while they fleece UCF of every last dime they can.

I bet the Harassment charge is bogus.  UCF knew the baseball team couldn't compete in CUSA... and yet, you can't fire the coach because the freaking field is named after him.

How to get around it?  Make up some BS charge and ask him to resign.  If he doesn't, you fire him.  He looks bad, UCF looks good, and they don't look like morons for naming the field after a dude they shitcanned.
