Right now we have a good enough future BCS OOC slate. There has to be a mix of OOC opponents from easy to hard, so as not to overtax our players heading into conference play. I know and I understand why our schedule is the way it is. I am just saying that I disagree with that philosophy. There are plenty of teams who have tough schedules in BCS conferences who are not afraid to go out and schedule some tough OOC games. USC, Tennessee, and Auburn immediately come to mind.leavitt is afraid to play big boys more than he has tois there really any doubtusf hasnt done well against big boys(save auburn)overtaxing players?????? come onleavitt is afraid to play the big boys more than he has tois there really any doubtusf hasnt done well against big boys(save auburn)overtaxing players?????? come on

Then the real season begins, and our scheduling and future scheduling has been putting top notch programs against us. How does Florida in 2010, Notre Dame in 2011, a 4 year deal with Miami, and our game this season against Kansas make leavitt afraid to play big boys more than he has to? Why split revenue with N.D. at a neutral site? Rutgers would definitely make more by playing a 1-aa team at home. We might as well. UCONN sees it as a way to make a little more and get the national recognition. Same with Cincy. They have a small stadium and they will make more by getting half the revenue at a pro stadium than they would by playing at home.College football is all dollars and cents now. The NCAA should mandate that all d-1 teams play no more than 6 home games. It's getting ridiculous with big programs playing 8 home games just to fill their schedule with cupcakes and get the payday. Force them to go on the road OOC.

I checked with USF officials and it is not USF. Best guess here is that it’s Syracuse. ... http://www.tboblogs.com/index.php/sports/comments/big-east-bowl-primer/
