doesn't seem like there was a huge run on LB's in the draft.  It's not always how good you are.  Perfect example is DE's/DL's in this draft.  There was a run on them and it kept going.  Once teams start drafting a bunch of them, other teams start to draft the position as well to make sure they get one.  Then other positions, WR, QB ILB suffer by getting pushed down the board

The year Ryan Pickett was drafted( I bring this up because we went to school together and I followed him) he was projected a third rounder.  But that year the rams had 3 first round picks and defensive lineman were getting scooped up fast.  Result, Pickett goes in the first round, because eveyone was drafting DL's and the Rams had to improve their defense, and drafted three 1st round defensive players.
