Ben may want to rethink his choice of agents ....   ::)

Passed over in the NFL Draft, former USF linebacker Ben Moffitt has landed on his feet, signing a free-agent contract with the Houston Texans on Sunday night, according to his agent, Marc Lillibridge.

"They didn't draft any linebackers, and we feel like it's a good fit for him," said Lillibridge, who said he heard from about 15 other teams after the draft before choosing the Texans. Houston actually drafted outside linebacker Xavier Adibi of Virginia Tech in the fourth round.

LOL.  I was thinking the same thing when I read that.

A wise man said Ben's lawyer should be his agent.

I guess the point is that number of players a school has drafted doesn't mean much one way or the other.

Couldn't agree more.  As an example, I think whoever it was that drafted the ucf rb will be very disappointed.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, he had great numbers aganst Rice and the other Junior College's (football wise) in c-doa, but what did he do against real (BCS) programs?  I think we held him to 40 +/- yards.

Helps in recruiting however.

Holy crap. That can't be real. I would ban this agent from ever talking to any USF player again if he messed up this bad already.

Elsewhere, the same agent was quoted as saying they didn't draft many linebackers. I'd say this is a misquote.

Also Ben has a ZERO percent chance of playing OLB.  He's an ILB so, it's not too bed a quote.  I mean for real, OLBs are like big CBs in the NFL.

Um... I don't think that is the case.  OLB's tend to be pash rush specialists, they're more like small DEs.

I read somewhere that Ben's strengths were more in pass coverage and reading offenses... he could be a good Strong Safety in the NFL, no?  (Not in a nickel package where he'd be lined up against WRs, but in standard defenses when he might cover a TE or RB, or might be open for some blitzing...)

JMHO.

with that settlement I would agree ;)  I think Shauna just got zero dollars as a settlement or 15% of his signing bonus

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
