Jackson signs with Bucs; Moffitt to Houston

University of South Florida WR Amarri Jackson and LB Ben Moffitt never heard their names called during Sunday’s NFL Draft, but their NFL hopes are still very much alive.

Jackson said Sunday night he signed a free-agent deal with the Tampa Bay Bucs and will report to the team Friday, while Moffitt signed with the Houston Texans.

Along with CB Mike Jenkins (first round, Dallas) and CB Trae Williams (fifth round, Jacksonville), the Bulls will have at least four rookies in NFL camps.

Hall should have never signed there. Amari has a shot to make the roster. He has tons of talent.

The Bucs receiving corps is in worse shape now than the running backs were back then so he should have a better shot .... if he really applies himself.

Maybe working with a receivers coach at the Pro level will be what Amarri needs to really get him on the right track and might even give him a shot at making the roster with teh Bucs, especially with his size and athleticism...

if he can gain weight (or the bucs think they can put it on him) then he will have a much better shot at making it in the nfl

if not he has no realistic shot

Well, according to Greg Auman, Amarri did NOT sign a contract. Rather, Amarri, Carnes and Walker will TRYOUT in hopes of getting a free agent contract.

Two more undrafted Bulls -- receiver Amarri Jackson and tackle Jared Carnes (St. Pete Catholic) -- will attend the Bucs' rookie tryout this coming weekend with the hopes of landing a free-agent contract, according to their agent, Tim Rogers. Offensive tackle Walt Walker said Sunday he will be attending the Bucs' rookie tryout as well.

It would be sweet if they could all get a contract
