no kidding-- Ben really did not need this from her

I'm not saying he was a definite draft pick without the controversy-- but it could not have helped.

Actually I would say Ben was the biggest loser of the two.  She still has her job and Ben has little to no shot to make an NFL roster and he lost his kids, which is much worse.  Sorry guys, but having your divorce go final a couple days before the draft is bad juju.
