Is it harder to be a 1st-rounder in the NBA or NFL?

I don't follow the NBA Draft to know the difficulty, but my gut tells me it's much tougher than the NFL (in terms of the percentages).

I guess I'm trying to figure out if we'll ever get a USF NBA first-rounder.

Much harder in basketball due to all the foreign players.  Your not just competing with college players your also competing against every other basketball league in the world and there are far more basketball players world wide than (American) football players.
