J.R. was a Bull during my time as a student, but after [glow=red,2,300]that freak incident/injury with the dog and the fence[/glow], its obvious he lost a step or two.  I was surprised he was picked up last year and would not be surprised if he is out the door this year.

If that acciden never occurred Im sure he would still be a return specialist on some NFL team.  Good luck to him this year.

D. Jackson was a top ten play guy on sportscenter this past year a lot.  eagles fan are very excited about this pick.  Not good news for JR/

Dog? I never heard anything about a dog

Maybe my memory is off or I was given the wrong information at the time of the accident.  but I though JR iinjured himself by hopping a fence when a dog was attaching him.  Is that right??

I heard about the hopping a fence but never heard anything about a dog. Still very sketchy/odd situation

Nothing was chasing him.  He was injured crossing a barbwire fence out in the country.  Just a freak accident.

i heard he was being chased by a dog as well.  either way, its clear that the freak injury cost him his career.  atleast he was able to hang on for a few seasons.  he will have some $ to try and start something else up for him.

JR will remain with the NFL for another season...he is too good and too fast and near the top of the list in averages.

Unless there is better info somewhere else .....

As Reed swung himself over a fence by USF's campus that February night in 2005 (he has never said why, only that it was "a bad decision"), he immediately knew something was wrong. The back of his left leg, just below the knee, caught the point of a metal spike that sank into his upper calf. Reed, upside down, dangled from the fence as blood poured down his body.
