Additionally, I was able to get a room at the Best Western Mountaineer Inn (1.7 miles from the WVU Stadium) for $110.00/night through Priceline.com (a $40/night savings off of their normal rate). Once we had the room reserved, an offer for 50% off from Hertz comes up on the priceline page, with a compact car for 2 days costing $58.00. We will be able to do the whole trip (air.room.car) for a total of $653.00 for two. I am excited about staying in Morgantown for the game. It should be a great experience. I would love to hear the experiences of others who stayed in Morgantown in 2006. *The Priceline rate was obtained using Name Your Own Price, and by selecting 2 Star hotel Morgantown. There are only 4 or so hotels in Morgantown with availability at this point for that weekend, so if you plan on staying in town, I would reserve sooner rather than later. THe other options (Hampton Inn and Waterplace) are just not worth the cost ($269 to $299 per night). Also, if you do not want to stay in Morgantown, but rather Pittsburgh, you can have a room at a LaQunita Inn or a similar hotel for $50 to $70 per night.
