As of 4/23/08:

Notre Dame                        12-3

St. John's                          11-4

Cincinnati                            11-4

Seton Hall                          12-6

West Virginia                        8-7

Louisville                              8-7

USF                                    8-10

Rutgers                              6-9

UConn                                7-11

Villanova                              5-10

Pitt                                    4-11

Georgetown                        4-14

*USF has already played an extra Big East series than most of the league, so it could get interesting.  I don't think USF can really get much higher than the 7 seed unless they play flawless baseball down the stretch.  However, if they play poorly, they could easily slip right out of the race.  UConn and Rutgers are the two teams right behind them in the standings, and depending on how this Villanova series goes they could be in the mix too.  Losing 2 out of 3 to Georgetown was certainly bad at the time, but look now, the Hoyas have only 2 other wins in conference all year.  Also going against the Bulls is two of the other weaker teams in conference we don't play this year (Pitt and UConn).

Looks like 2-1 vs Nova and 1-2 against St John's will get us in.  Have to manage to get 3 more conference wins.

Barring something really strange, everyone behind us will lose at least 14 games when all is said and done.

If you're using 14 losses as a barometer, we'll need 13 wins not 11.  I see us having 14 losses when all is said and done.  But that should get us in.  Remember we still have to play at St. John's and Notre Dame visits Tampa the final weekend.  Its a 27 game Big East schedule.  Remember, some of the teams behind us have 3 games in hand.  Pitt for example only has 4 wins, but they play Georgetown, Villanova, and UConn still (as well as Notre Dame).  If they sweep a couple teams and win two more in another series they'll jump us.
