Lots of yards, but no hype, for RB prospect Smith

If he's not a thug then who is it that I saw in that video a month or so ago talking about sitting on a porch and there was a drive by, and the jumped a fence running away and they almost shot his brother, etc.  I can't find the thread with the video.  Anyone want to find it?

I believe he was talking about a dream.  I could be wrong.

Yeah he appeared to be baked out of his skull and talking about a dream.  Also couldn't figure out how to change the battery in his smoke detector.  The video is pure comedy.

So two CUSA backs went on the first day, and K Smith didn't go?

Detroit traded up to get him.  Since round 3 has always been a day 1 pick, I still view it as one.

When you cannot accept the day that your player is drafted on as that matter of record it is, you could be suffering from very severe black and gold goggles...

As I noted elsewhwere, that's not a Smith related feeling.  I like the tradition of 3 rounds in day 1.

Yet two CUSA RB's went in the first round?

Not that I am a UCF fan, but when was the first RB out of the Big East taken.

"Everybody puts their jersey on the same way," Smith says. "Ask some of the guys at Texas. I murdered them. N.C. State, I murdered them, too."

Hey, Kev, how'd you do against USF?  I didn't see you mention them...

Only played one half.

was that just him or the whole team?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
