"If you want to be a first-round pick, you've got it. If you want to win a Super Bowl ring, you've got that. If you want to play for a national championship, we're in the hunt. We're breaking down barriers, and that's very powerful."This quote is part of a St. Pete Times article regarding Mike Jenkins.http://www.tampabay.com/sports/football/bucs/article470449.ece

Guest
What that should tell any future recruit is... there is nothing Florida, Florida State, or Miami can offer that South Florida can not offer.* National TV? Check. Six games on ESPN or ESPN2 this year.* Shot at national title? Check. Ranked as high as #2 in nation in 2007.* Dedicated facilities? Check. Athletic facility with all the amenities. Dining hall is planned.* NFL attention? Check. Bulls get drafted, too. Even in the first round.* Super Bowl rings? Check. See also: Ryan Benjamin, Kawicka Mitchell, etc.* Great stadium? Check. Okay, so it's off campus but it's state-of-the art and home of an NFL team - on par with the other guys.** Fan support? Check. Sold out Raymond James stadium - with largest student section in the Big East. What else do the "Big Three" offer? History and tradition do not play the game on the field. And they don't really guarantee future success - See Alabama Crimson Tide.Go Bulls!!(* On campus stadiums are better for fans, but for players it really doesn't make that much of a difference.)
