Just curious.

I got the card even though it was 2 points higher than Bank of America Worldpoints card without a college affiliation.

How is this helping my alma mater?

GOOD

also, it looks sweet it my wallet.  i'm finally using it after paying off my huge college credit card debt ($10g's) that I had transferred to it.  Now I have my smart wife to pull back on my leash.  we only use it for stuff we could have bought anyways.  I t seems like the worldpoints program is decent.

If that is the same card they get freshmen to sign up for in trade for a tee shirt,

its purpose is to drain you of your money, leaving you nothing to donate to your alma mater ;-)
