Yep, I was right:

Sat., Dec 20, Baltimore @ Dallas

That's the only one this year, but I remember a few of them every season.

They used to have 2 games, one form each conference, on Saturdays late in the season. Not sure why they stoped doing that .... probably something to do with television.

They moved the other game to Thursday nights on NFL Network.

This is exciting..

Now I can spend that Saturday watching college football at home.

Then spend Sunday at Ray Jay.

I am not a big fan of this at all.

Sure it leaves Saturday to watch other games, but coming from out of town and then driving back LATE on Sunday to be at work on Monday is going to be tough.  You know it will be late because it is televised and with all the commercial breaks, we are looking at close to midnight before getting out of there.  A tw hour ride home and it will be a tough Monday morning.

I'll probably take the following Monday off...coupled with Thur & Fri for Thanksgiving, less time in the office.

And less time in the office coupled with football is truly what makes this country great.

The scheduling of games on Thursday Friday and now Sunday makes it hard to buy season tickets when you live out of the Tampa area. Our group comes from Ft. Myers, Cape Coral and Bocca.

It also may hurt the actual attendance because of the next day being a school day ..... Season ticket holders that include kids need to find homes for those unused tix.

I have been considering upgrading to Green Jacket to have the club access since I have kids. However, I am not sure we are even going to have any Saturday day games, much less Saturday games, the way this is going!

I think the NFL does not compete with college (saturday) or high school games (friday) out of the kindness of their hearts.

This. They wait until the college regular season is over before they start playing Saturday games.

In a related story, I'm very happy about this since I'm visiting the family the week of Thanksgiving. This makes it even easier to go to the game.
