It sounds like hes choosing between USF and the NBA.

does anyone know more about his situation?

Edit: Well he entered the draft, but I think he hasnt hired an agent.  If he goes through pre-draft camps and doesn't perform well, i think theres a good chance he goes to USF.  Am I wrong?

John Riek, a 7-foot-2 center, is no longer enrolled at Winchendon and has moved to Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy. Down in south Florida, he’s working at the academy in preparation for a potential entry into the draft.

“John withdrew from school after the season was over with and he’s been down at IMG since the first week of March,†an advisor to Riek told Scout.com.

“Right now John is preparing for the draft. We may have to re-evaluate (his college choice) if he doesn’t go. UConn was his first choice but with Hasheem Thabeet staying in and the other (juco) kid coming in it wouldn’t make sense for John to go there.â€Â

South Florida is another school that has been talked about should the draft not work out.

Jeff Goodman, senior basketball writer for Fox sports, thinks that Riek should not enter the draft this year.

Just testing  needs to return

John Riek, 7-2, 250, C, Winchendon School, Sudan  The native of Sudan struggled through a knee injury at Winchendon this past season. He's eligible for the draft because he graduated from high school back in Egypt -- but could use another year to get healthy.
