Men Earn #3 Seed in BIG EAST Championships

TAMPA, Fla.  – Hosting the BIG EAST Conference Championships for the fourth year in a row, the University of South Florida men’s tennis team has received a No. 3 seed, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. 

Nine men’s teams will compete for the conference title. The winner will receive the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Championship, set to begin on May 11-12 on campus sites to be determined.

USF will open play on Friday, April 18 against #6 seed Georgetown at the USF Andros Courts.

They play behind the parking lots on the corner of Holly/Maple. It's sort of back in the woods a bit.

College tennis is not about local talent....it's an international sport and rosters are loaded with foreigners.  Kids from Florida don't make the team!

Have not been to USF in a while. Have they upgraded the tennis facility? Being that this is the fourth year in a row hosting the BE Championship, and I am sure it wont be the last due to the great weather in Tampa during this time of year. If not they need to upgrade facility.
