Didn't see this mentioned anywhere on here but Tom Crean is leaving Marquette to coach at Indiana, I'm sad to see him go, he is a great coach to have in the Big East and always loved to play his Marquette teams.

Too lazy to go searching, do you have a link? If this is true, I think Indiana just picked up a great coach in Tom Crean. He's an Izzo disciple along with Stan Heath.

Should we be worried every season that Stan will leave us?  Marquette has a good history and is a good program and they just lost their coach.  With Stan coaching in Michigan and Ohio wouldn't Marquette be a good spot for him?

If he has a good year then we should worry. Right now I would be shocked if he was even on Marquette's list

Good pickup for Indiana, they need someone like him after the Samspon debacle.

He got fired from his last job and hasn't done anything here YET to warrant someone comng after him .... besides, why would he want to go up there? Same great conference but with Siberia type weather. He hasn't been here long enough to see if he's going to be able to get the ship righted or not...

I don't buy the nice weather, etc argument for basketball.

Marquette is looking at Brian Gregory from Dayton, Lon Kruger from UNLV, Sean Miller of Xavier, and Anthony Grant of VCU.

To Stan though, yes, if he has a great year I'd be very worried. Basetball isn't like football, big schools grab from big schools all the time.

Gillispie from A&M to UK

Self from Illinois to Kansas

Howland from Pitt to UCLA

For now Heath hasn't rehabbed himself from a tough Arkansas position, until he does, we have no worries.

Quality of life can be used for ANY sport when looking at possible reasons to relocate or not relocate ...
