With our current commits and possible commits, how does he fit in for the hoops world?  Will he play?

Seeing our team from this past year, I think he'll have all the opportunity in the world.

Two questions for you NCAA bufs..

1) If he plays basketball does he count against our basketball schollies?  I believe the answer to this is no, there is some priority ranking that starts at football then goes to basketball.  If that is the case though I am not sure why Duke doesn't recruit a few more basketball players for their football team.  I suppose ,like everything else in life, you just have to trust in the integrity of those involved.

2) If he red-shirts football this year when is he elligible to play basketball?

He'll have a five-year window in which he can play four seasons of football and four seasons of basketball. You can exhaust your eligibility in one sport and still have a year left in the other.

For instance, Amarri Jackson played two years of basketball at HCC, then transferred to USF, where he had three years of eligibility for football.

Again, with the depth at guard, I wouldn't expect him to play many meaningful minutes of basketball this season. His first priority is balancing school and football, and once he's got that figured out, he'll work in basketball next ...

It also sounds like Leavitt plans to overload him with football making him an instant traveling player, hence making the balancing act that much harder, and decision possibly that much easier.

He does not need to be playing basketball and learning our offense at the same time.  Charlie Ward was at F$U a long time ago.  Times have changed.
