Someone HAS to have video of M. Jenkins running down Greg Olsen in Miami...

Seriously. All his agent has to do is show that one clip and Jenkins is the first DB taken this year.

Now why isn't it on youtube. Or if it is, where is it.

I don't know but I did find a clip from that season in which Jenkins ran down Justin King from PSU after King was sprinting free on a reverse and nearing the end zone. Remember King ran one of the fastest 40 times at the combine for DB's, officially registered at 4.31, but on that day Jenkins proved a WHOLE LOT FASTER!

Jenkins ran a 4.38, but his speed is much faster at times.  He did run a 10.5 100m in HS, and that is blazing by most people's standards.  Mike's speed is deceptive at times.

"Football" speed is almost always different than pure 40 speed.

Jenkins' "football" speed is close to his real speed.

The Miami run down was a great example... better than Don Beebe's rundown of Leon Lett in the Super Bowl.

Another great Jenkins rundown was on a reverse to Darius Reynaud @ WVU in 2006.

I'm sure we'll see some of these plays on ESPN come draft day.

They should be shown before draft day.

That way Kiper and the others wouldn't have him scraping the bottom of the 1st round.

Y'know, as much as it should be Kiper's job to know what the hell is going on, I guarantee you that the GMs and Scouts for each franchise already know these things. Those guys actually get paid and paid very well for their analysis of players... Kiper gets paid to get people to read his articles... he also doesn't lose his job if he screws up on his analysis of players repeatedly... and remember, there are Scouts for the NFL teams that their entire job is just scouting college players. Now, sometimes they don't make the best decisions, and sometimes they make the best decisions and it just doesn't work out for whatever reason (Need we look at Manning vs. Leaf again?) Where would Indy be now if they had taken Leaf and San Diego or Arizona had Manning? Of course, that could have changed a lot... maybe it was as much the San Diego coaches fault that Leaf failed as it is his own... and maybe if he's with Indy he doesn't suffer some of the injuries that hampered him? Always lots of what-ifs... :D

Wow... I ended up in a completely different place from where I started... :o

Yeah. I know that GM's and Coaches give Kiper and Co. as much thought as a pimple on their behind.

I just like USF having press.

Yeah, you're right... we're still going to need a little more success before the media starts taking USF and USF's NFL Prospects some more respect...

The funny thing about Kiper is that his mock drafts are never even close...I dont know why he is a draft "expert"

I agree with this to a certain degree. Kiper does get many picks right.  However, to me, the person that has the best view of the draft is John Clayton.  He is on ESPNs draft coverage and rarely makes a wrong call. Unfortunately he doesn't provide a mock draft, at least not this far out.  I bases his information on team needs and conversations with GMs.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
