Bulls, Cowpokes play Thursday

Just looking ahead to the weekend games.  We'll play Oklahoma State on Thursday and Sunday this coming weekend.  It will be a tough test for the young Bulls as Oklahoma State is already 4-0.  They swept Gonzaga this past weekend, outscoring them 29-7 in four games.  Most likely we'll get LHP Andrew Oliver on Thursday. Andrew Oliver pitched 5.2 innings only giving up two hits and one run while striking out 6 versus the Zags.  Daniel Thomas will throw for USF.  He pitched well too, giving up no runs in 5 innings.

Come on out and support the baseball team!

Forgot to mention that Oklahoma State is now ranked #21 by Baseball America after starting the season 4-0.  I don't think we played any ranked teams last year, but we will on Thursday.

I'll be there.  Had a good time Friday and Saturday at the ballpark.  Took Sunday off cause I had a late Saturday.  Does anyone ever do any tailgating for baseball?

Not really.  I tailgated last year for the Florida game last year.  But most fans when they do show up is right at game time.  Yep, Saturday night was a blast.  I caught all three games this past weekend, and I'll be back out for the Cowpokes.  That team appears to be scary good.

From the info you posted they do seem pretty impressive.  It seems strange to me that we play them Thursday and Sunday.  In between the Yankees on Friday and Northwestern on Saturday.  That's kind of unusual scheduling isn't it?

Somewhat, but we still get to play our 3 games over the weekend.  Northwestern and Okie State also play each other at our field when we're not playing, so they maximize their time while they are down here.  I recall last year we had a similar weekend early in the year with Michigan State and Quinnipiac.

btw, I see that Northwestern plays OK State at 1pm on Saturday, and we play Northwestern at 7pm....Anyone gonna go watch both?
