Has there been an official announcement of when Homecoming, SuperBull XII is?

I'm assuming it's gonna be on October 18, 2008 against Syracuse.

I'm mainly guessing this, cause it's obviously not gonna be against Kansas or Pitt.

Will it not be Rutgers?  with it being the second to last home game

I would actually expect Rutgers.  It won't be Kansas or Pittsburgh... and U Conn will be senior night.

Although Rutgers will draw more USF fans than Syracuse, a mid-October Homecoming can be subject to a possible hurricane date.  In 2005, West Virginia was our Homecoming opponent and the game was moved. The rest of Homecoming week took place as scheduled since the hurricane diverted.  But the Alumni tailgate and the game were on Dec 3rd.

But either game would be fine by me.

Well I predicted Syracuse, cause I was going based off the fact that a LOT of schools plan homecoming around an easy game. Syracuse is definately that IMO.

Rutgers will already have a huge crowd, Homecoming against Syracuse would draw a huge crowd for that game too.

In the words of CJL there are no easy games.

You guys are obsessed with hurricanes.  I lived in Tampa for 23 years and now in Melbourne for 4 years.  Hurricanes are an incredibly rare event.  Yeah we had that freak year, but I wouldn't be scheduling home coming around possible hurricanes!

I would like to schedule the 2009 homecoming around hurricanes.

Historically, I don't think that it has been tradition to schedule an easy game. I think it was Pitt a couple of years ago, Cincy last year. We even took on Army one year (wait, let's not discuss that one).

Back on that Canes game, how do we make sure that they only get their allotment, and USF fans have the rest of the tix?

Misinformed fans tend to think its the easiest game on the schedule, but that just isn't the case.  There are more factors that go into this.

I wasn't basing my guess on that sole fact. I based it on the time of the year, 2 weeks without a home or away game. Lots of time to build up interest. Also, Rutgers is 2 weeks before Turkey Day, some people might not want to travel twice in November.

Just my $0.02

If I were basing in on the "easiest game" I would have projected Homecoming against Tennessee-Martin.

I wasn't speaking about you, I was just stating it in general.
