Here is my thought...

Arod deal is good for boston for a couple reasons.

1 Arod is better than Nomar

2.  We get rid of manny

3.  We are probably trading Nomar to the White Sox for Magglio Ordonez...  that fills the void by losing both Manny and Nomar

So the real trades will look like this

Boston loses  Manny and Nomar

and picks up

ARod and Magglio

Overall, it is about the same offensively, maybe better.... and better defensively as Manny is the only true liability out of that bunch.

Texas is the worst franchise in texas and they are about to make the deal.  Boston sells out every game already, so now imagine with Arod... they might need to make the green monster into a double decker section (j/k).

Remember when Oakland's Jose Canseco called Fenway Park a band box?  The Boston fans were so offended.  You would have thought that he was mocking a holy shrine.

he was mocking a holy shrine... i don't want Fenway to be torn down.  I know this game is about money, but man, Boston Garden being torn down, even if it was replaced with a great building (Fleet Center), was aweful.  I loved the old crappy place, as do I love Fenway.  It wouldn't be the same playing in some new stadium, although we'd make more money.

VG,they could rebuild a stadium just like fenway with all the bells and whisltes. with seats

in which you won't get splinters in your ass

plus it could seat 50,000 allowing more kids to enjoy the bosox

i am all for tradition but a 100 year stadium is a bit much

Oh I hear what you are saying... but it wouldn't have the same mystique.  If they did make the change, they better make a larger version of Fenway, everything should be the same, just seat more.
