I've gotta wonder... should the refs wear pads and helmets? I mean, they're out there and it's not that difficult for them to get hit, especially the Umpire over the middle, and sometimes the linemen on the sides... saw a ref in the Purdue/Penn State game get hit too, think he rolled his ankle...

Sometimes I think so too. I mean, and they aren't even prepared for the hit half the time because they can get blindsided

At the very least, I think they oughta wear a helmet with a kicker's type facemask... wit that hit, the ref woulda been all right with just a single bar facemask.

What a weird game. I've never seen special teams and defenses scoring so many points so fast. I just hope we can keep up in this shootout as we're now down 10.
