So walking around in Boston last week after  the game made me wonder.

As I was looking around, literally EVERYONE was wearing something that had to due with the Sox.

I mean EVERYONE.

It made my goal in life to see Tampa like Boston, everyone wearing something USF related.

problem with that is those are fans who have been brought up for GENERATIONS liking the sox... Here in tampa we have a diverse fan base(gators, seminoles, canes, bulls etc...). MANY MANY years from now maybe you'd see that. We need more alumni.

Bostonians live and die by their Sox. The Patriots could win 100 Super Bowls, but in their hearts the Sox always come first. Can Tampa be like that? Probably not with college football nor professional sports.

Also, you were walking around the week of the World Series.  That is a big difference.  Its not a normal week for Boston fans.  Its the culmination of a years worth of work, not to mention Red Sox and playoff hype.  Tampa would never be able to match Boston fans spirit, but you'd see a ton more Bulls stuff, if we were playing in the NC.

Never happen here, for USF or local pro team. Too many fans of other college teams already entrenched and too many transplants for the pro teams.

Keep winning, the fans will come.  Were'nt you amazed by the show of support both nationally and loacally when we were number #2.  J

We just have to put those two losses behind us and get back to winning.  A top 10 finish is not out of the question.

I wear the same thing for every game.  Our shirt, khakis, and my Boston hat.  It's a good time to be a Boston sports fan.
