Kentrell Gransberry

TAMPA, Fla. – The University of South Florida men’s basketball team and new head coach Stan Heath open the 2007-08 season with an exhibition game vs. Saint Leo on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m. at the Sun Dome.

The regular-season home opener is set for Friday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. against Cleveland State as part of the Glenn Wilkes Classic. Season and group tickets for USF home basketball games can be purchased by calling 1-800-GoBulls. Single-game tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or via Ticketmaster phone at 813-287-8844.

Senior center Kentrell Gransberry was one of 11 players named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team announced last Wednesday at the annual BIG EAST Media Day at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Gransberry, a second team All-BIG EAST selection last season, is the first USF player to earn BIG EAST preseason honors. The 6-9 senior patrolled the paint effectively for the Bulls last season and was the only player in the league to average a double-double. Gransberry, the top returning rebounder in the country, posted averages of 15.6 points and 11.4 rebounds.  His rebound mark was third in the nation.

Gransberry was also one of 50 players named to the preseason candidates list for the John R. Wooden Award, perhaps the most coveted honor in college basketball.

With the arrival of Coach Heath, the 2007-08 season will be the start of a new era for the USF men’s basketball program. Heath will lead the Bulls into their third BIG EAST season after successful coaching stints at Arkansas and Kent State, which included three NCAA Tournament appearances, a 30-win season and an Elite Eight finish.

I'm definitely considering going to this game.  As a student at Saint Leo and a fan of the Bulls, this would be cool to see.

Any idea if ticket prices differ from regular games, since it's an exhibition?
