Students have always been an issue--it is asking a lot to have 12k at every game.

Having a ranked team should be enough to bring them, but it'll take time.

Our regular ticket sales growth will out pace the increase in student tickets.

Our students were there for Elon.  I have no doubt that they will be there for Cincinnati.  Its our homecoming for crying out loud.  People who won't be there are your neighbors or the guy at work that 'suddenly' became a Bulls fan prior to WVU.  No doubt we'll have 50K.

go Bulls!!

...

Not when you have over 40K students.

What that’s a lot to ask WTF are you smoking Students get in free so why is it a lot to ask. You don’t see other football programs having trouble getting their students to go to the game. (DONT USE THE OCS THING AS A COP OUT) When I was a student at USF I never missed a home game. I have faith in our students and they will be at both games 12,502 strong.

Most definetly sad if student section doesn't get into the upperdeck. The one factor that I feel could affect things is not selling companion tickets. Suddenly all the commuter students are going to buy regular tickets but if they buy tickets then that looks good for us as well.

suposedly if the students take their full 12k, we will be in the 50's again.

This will be an interesting test for our students.

And reason why I hope we go to a system that rewards students that go to ALL the games.

Go BULLS !!!

not looking good. i know a kid who got a ticket and a lower bowl wristband TODAY....

I went to the ticket window to ask about companion tickets. The woman there told me that they would go on sale on Thursday if there were any left. As of that time (10:15ish) there were lower bowl seats available. However, around 12:30 I passed a guy with a blue wristband.

I think the bandwagon contingent (which should be differentiated from new fans) is only about 2k. I think we probably can have a near capacity student crowd. BTW I think it was a VERY smart idea for athletics to sell those minigame plans. I am sure there are a few people that would not be going to cincy of ul had it not been for the fact they already have paid for tickets.

I know a lot of students who have already bought regular tickets because a) they want to go w/ friends and fam. but know that companion tickets suck  or B) didn't like the long lines from the other two home games and felt that paying $$ was worth more than wasting an entire day just to get a ticket.  Well, the combination of these two things and the loss of momentum for our bulls has resulted in a poor student turnout to get tickets so far for the cincy game.  Sad, but it is just the product of what is already happening around the issues of student ticket sales and retrieval.  If Athletics doesn't get a better way to do tickets, students might find the bad outweighs the good as far as going to a home game is concerned.  After all,  our games seem to keep showing up on TV which is a very pleasurable way to watch the bulls play.

Ticketmaster is into section 330.  Not sure the order of those upper deck tickets are sold but it would seem the other side would sell first since it's the home side, and 330 is in the corner.  This being the homecoming game and the fact we are still ranked, I see no reason why we won't still have over 60,000.

I know we need a little help, but the Big East and/or a BCS bid is still on the line.  Also, we've gone 4-3 in the first 2 years in the Big East so if we can win out it would be our best year in the Big East.
