The weather didn't affect any of those penalties.  UConn played in the same stuff too, but were simply better than us.  No weather excuse from me thank you.

USF Football: Playing up or down to our competition since 1997.

That's it in a nutshell.

All these people up here I've introduced to USF football have noticed the same thing.

I do believe the weather was a big factor in the first half.

Not tackling in the first half had nothing to do with the weather, their RB ran all over the defense.

Hate to bring it up, but here are the facts.  We are not a very good road team in conference.  Since joining the Big East our record in conference road games in 3-6.   Yep you read that right, 3-6.  That is one road win per year.  Overall we are 9-8 in conference games.  It seems we're alot better than that, but in reality we're not.  Here is the breakdown by year:

2005  Road Games

@ Rutgers-  Win

@ Pitt-  Loss

@ Syracuse-  Win

@ UConn-  Loss

2006 Road Games

@ Cincinnati-  Loss

@ Louisville-  Loss

@ West Virginia-  Win

2007 Road Games

@ Rutgers-  Loss

@ UConn-  Loss

Why are we so bad on the road?

just like kansas state

usf needs to beef up non conference schedule to get ready for confernece games

playing elon and fau doesnt cut it

I would have to agree.  Seems like we constantly struggle on the road.  FAU almost gave us a loss...  Definitely a concern.

Not sure how we beat Auburn at Auburn and could not get the job done at Rutgers or UConn.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
