I need a little bit of whatever y'all are smoking.  Win the conference?  <insert Jim Mora voice here>  Win the conference?

You guys do realize that we are currently tied for last in the conference with Cincy, Pitt and Cuse; right?  Good lord!  I hope we make a bowl game, but there's no way in hell this last place team is going to a BCS bowl.

I understand that mathematically we're still alive. and if that's what this post is about I apologize.  But if you guys are still seriously thinking we're going to play in the Orange Bowl, your glasses are much more green and gold than mine.

And the alternative is........?  I am as upset as anyone, but these guys are laying out the scenario to get us there and talking about how it can happen.  You are simply giving up and saying it is inevitable.  Which is more fun on a board...?  I take these guys, thanks.

Here's how I say it plays out:

UCONN: (4-3)

Rutgers L- Rutgers bounces back and UConn finds out how hard it is to be the hunted

@ Cincy L- Cincy too tough at home

Syracuse W- Won't lose this one

@ West Va L- WV goes to the BCS

West Va: (7-1)

Louisville W- What's up with UL this year?

@Cincy W- This could go either way, but I think WVU pulls it out

UCONN W- WV won't lose at home

Pitt W- See above

Rutgers (4-3)

@ UCONN W- Big East gets more fun every week

Pitt W- Again, home field advantage too much

@ Louisville L- Birds get revenge and salvage something out of this season

USF (5-2)

Cincy W- USF is a different team at home

@ 'Cuse W- Probably closer than we want

Louisville W- Won't be another 45-14

@ Pitt W- Pitt can be dangerous, but USF gets it done

USF fans ... in fact every Big East team... needs to get the words "Gator Bowl" out of their head for this year.

The Gator Bowl will be selecting a Big 12 team.  No ifs. No ands. No buts.

The Sun Bowl will be making the 2nd selection in the Big East... so if USF wins out and doesn't get an at large BCS bid (talk about your long shots), then we'll be in El Paso for New Years' Eve.
