Or maybe just Redzone Percentage period.

We have to be the worst team in the redzone offensively.

77%...that's terrible. We should stay in the open (spread) formation the entire drive...especially if that's what got us down there. Ace at the most...the goalline formation has killed us!

Wow, dead last in the league.  That is pathetic.

Check your game tapes, the three back set always works.  It didn't work yesterday since we only used it on 1st and 2nd down on that last drive.  Third down was a bad play call in that formation.  How do you not have a release valve for Grothe to get rid of the ball?  4th down from the 11 effectively takes the 3 back set out of play.

The three back set doesn't always work. If it does, why do we have such poor success in the redzone? Here are the stats from the past four years:

Year: RZ Scoring/RZ Touchdowns

2007: 77/57

2006: 70/58

2005: 74/54

2004: 80/63

Three of those four years, we were dead last in the Big East in the redzone.

I seem to remember many of our rushing TD coming from the 3 back set (mostly to Mike Ford).  It is effect for us from the 1 or 2 yard line.
