Would you consider transfering?

I love USF and support the team even if we were 0-12, but how do you think Matt feels?

His receivers constantly let him down with their routes and drops.

His OC always sells him out.

Matt did everything in his power to win that game yesterday, but came up short due to his supporting cast.

How about the pick in the corner of the end zone.  Why didn't the receiver turn into a defender and come back and attempt to knock the ball down.

Is that coaching, instinct or just a 1 star player.

Curious about your thoughts?

Go Bulls.

that pick was his fault...the ball was wayyyyy underthrown.  but i agree, something has to happen with this playcalling.  its absolutely mind-boggling.

where is he going to transfer to exactly?

If he goes to a big school-- he has one year of eligibility left

If he goes to a small school-- how does that help him?

ridiculous thread topic imo

I'm not saying he should transfer, but the guy has to be frustrated.

I feel bad for such an amazing player that keeps being screwed by his supporting staff and coaching staff.

The guy is a hybrid of Flute/Montana/Casey Weldon/Right Handed Steve Young with a huge heart and great attitude.

Love the guy and his "Will to compete".

Go Bulls!

PS: Mike G- Thanks for the photos

You could argue that Grothe cost us that game.

Horrible first half of the game (threw a pick in the F'ing endzone when he had Marcus for an easy TD)

Costly mistakes at the end of the game cost us as well (holding onto the ball too long)

I thought we might have seen Gregory in the 2nd half the way Matt played in the first.

But he is still a great QB who just had an up and down performance.

if you truly believe he is some hybrid of those players---- ALL of them to a man a solid TEAM PLAYER-- then you would never say Matt would haul arse to a different situation and blame his woes on everyone except himself.

Leaders accept responsibility. It is just as much MGs fault we lost the game as anyone else on the team.

My take is that there are many people making little mistakes that are creating the problem-- mistakes in execution, catching, blocking, tackling, passing, kicking-- you name it. That loss gets pinned on the Bulls as a team imo-- with a special mention to UConn for bringing a solid effort all around.

Why are you so sure none of this is bad decision-making and playing on Grothe's part?

I really don't think he has played particularly well although in some of the games he has had pretty good stats.

grothe didnt cost us the game... the whole team was playing terrible and unfocused.

one player does not make or break a team... and if it did, then that team isnt really a "team"

I love Matt, but he has got to get better in late game situations.  On that bootleg, he should have turned it up and taken a loss of just a yard or two.  The big loss there was a killer.  I think he is so used to making incredible plays, he thinks he can do it all the time.  But there is a time to be smart and take a small loss and live to fight another day.
