well, it seems as if everyone is saying that Ford isnt getting the ball a lot because he is a freshman and still learning the playbook, etc.. has anyone ever thought about the fact that Jamar Taylor is in the same position?  Why does he [taylor] get a healthy dose of carries in our games, but Ford doesnt?  is this the whole Jim Leavitt doghouse thing playing out again?

also, if the coaching staff knew Ford was far from being ready this season, shouldn't they have just redshirted him and used this year to get him caught up to speed, both with the playbook and the conditioning?  i'm assuming they would take a P.R. hit by doing such a move, but to me, not giving him the ball attracting the same kind of criticism.

RSing Ford would have been silly ... have you seen what he has done for this team ?

He is a FR and he will get better, as will Taylor.

It would have been nice if Taylor got more touches after his first one  :-[

Well ET since our OC is so great. Why would Taylor not get another run for 2 quarters after breaking off a 56 yard run in the first quarter?

Ford got a healthy dose before.  I honestly think the year off football has affected his endurance.  I think it was the Auburn game, at first he was hitting the hole hard.  After about 15 carries he wasn't effective.

I haven't figured out Taylor, some plays he breaks them for long runs, others he gets stopped for losses.  That's my only explanation for Taylor not seeing the ball. BW usually gets back to the line of scrimmage but Taylor isn't as consistent.

Only time will tell. I'm sure in a couple of years we will love the Ford-Taylor backfield

Maybe some people are blind to the fact that he fumbles alot.and hasn't played this kind of football in awhile. I agree give him the ball more. FORD could be in the next few years, if we tighten up the o-line alittle bit, one of the best backs in the country. He has ap size and he is a runner. He has a stiff arm that can break your neck. He is a possible super star. He just hasn't been in a full time spot. Next year he will earn it. I think he will be our guy next year.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
