The announcers pointed out early we were taunting their fans, dancing to the music, etc. while Conn looked like blue-collar workers - or something like that.

Heard this as well. I took this as a bad omen..

Not just a bad omen but a horrible one.  Shows our boys are still bought into the hype.  News flash guys, you've lost two straight games against un(or barely)ranked teams.  Check the egos at the door and let's get down to business.

shows our players lack discipline and lack good coaching

uconn was all business

rutgers was so focused  that they executed those trick plays like they were regular plays routinely run

So everyone who complained about the old OC in now complaining about the new one, unreal. This deosn't really have anything to do with the OC or play call. We are working with what we have.

The bottom line is simple, as was alluded to earlier in the year, we do not have any consistancy in the recieving corp. On top of that we have no go-to reciever. Taurus Johinson was on the verge of becoming that guy but still had work to do. Amarri will never be that guy. So a young Grothe, with no real confidence in who he throws the ball, does not throw well and loses confidence in himself leaving us without any passing attack. A lack of passing attack obviously leaves us one sided and we run the ball constantly. When we run constantly all teams do is begin to load the box and shut down the run, which in turns allows the DE to pin their ears back when it is a passing situation. now we have nothing offensively and that is exactly what you have seen the past two weeks.

Additionally, Matt is all of what 20? His youth still shines through. Case in point, 3 and gl, down by 7, time running out. Rather than throw it out of the endzone, sack. Grothe does tend to hold the ball entirely too long believing he will be able to escape pressure in any situation. As ole Kenny Rogers would say, He's got to learn when to hold 'em and learn when to fold 'em. That will come with age.

Execution is a problem with this team, but you have to believe that will come with growth.

Discipline has always been a problem but you get the good with the bad. Discipline wasn't a problem under our old basketball coach but everyone complained because they team never won. Now we have a winning football team that has stumbled and everyone complains of the lack of discipline. A rare team can have both.

Generic questions:

Perhaps the Bulls aren't as good as we all wanted to believe?

Perhaps we should be thrilled that we are going to a third straight bowl?
