The Huskies are now undefeated in conference play. If we win out, we have to hope that they lose at least 3/4 games to have a shot at the BE title. With Cincy, RU,Su and WVU left, I guess anything is possible. At least we don't have the big target on our back now.

USF has a chance, need RU and WVU to lose one each and UConn to lose 3.Is it realistic? Maybe - maybe not.But there is a chance.

Guest
Jim,If WVU wins out, wins the BE and somehow gets to the NC game. Who goes to the second BCS game. Will the team that finished 2nd in the BE go? To be eligible for an at large position, a team needs to finish in the Top 12 in the BCS. I don't see the Big East having two teams in the Top 12 at this point... although USF or U Conn could do that.Changing subjects... the remaining Big East schedule:

UConn3-0H - RutA - CincyH - 'CuseA - WVU

WVU2-1 H - L'villeA - CincyH - U ConnH - Pitt

Rutgers2-2A - UConnH - ArmyH - Pitt A - L'ville

Louisville2-2 A - WVUA - USF H - Rut

Cincinnati1-2A - USFH - UConnH - WVUA- 'Cuse

South Florida1-2H - CincyA - 'CuseH- L'villeA - Pitt

Pittsburgh1-2H- 'Cuse A - RutH - USFA - WVU

Syracuse1-2A - PittH - USCA - U ConnH - Cincy

For USF to win the Big East...1. At this point, UConn's probably the only one with a shot at an at-large BCS bid, and even that probably won't happen because it'd mean UConn having a late loss (the last game vs. WVU)

We'd all be co-champs, and depending on WVU's loss (which, given the remainder of their schedule, would likely be both 1. to an unranked team and 2. late in the season) and subsequent ranking (we wouldn't have to worry about UConn's ranking if they drop 3) would leave the tiebreaker up to the highest BCS ranking, which we could conceivably hold. No way anyone gives UConn respect, even if they finish the season with 1 loss.
