I say keep replays and get rid of the Ref.s  :chainsaw. A seeing-eye dog (no huskies please  ;)) can do a better job than they do.

What about getting rid of conference affiliated refs, and having a national NCAA pool?  I'm never fond of NFL refs, but they are way better than the college ball guys.  The current system has too many incentives (and loopholes) for referees to be biased in games.  If they had a way to enforce more accountability then maybe we might get some more honesty out of the calls.

As for replays, it is baffling how many are turned into the "wrong" call in college football.  I think it reflects back on the previous issue, how biased is the officiating crew?  But for a quick fix to the system (and to keep the game flowing) how about making a mandatory minimum time length (say 5 minutes) for instant replays?  Then maybe the booth would not be so trigger happy on how many they repay and it would force the guys to take the time to actually focus on the ones they do.

Good idea at least you can't say "well we lost to a (insert Conference name) team because they had their refs"

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
