I think he has mistaken Rutgers for Cincinnati.

The FIRST game of 2009 seems to be the most intriguing....

Wofford beat Appalachian State

after Appalachian had upset Michigan,

later Michigan beat Northwestern

then Northwestern beat Michigan State

who in turn beat Pitt.

Pitt surprised Rutgers

who then upset South Florida.

Oh Man.  I hope the players don't think about that too much when they play them in 2009!

So who's better?  Wofford or USF?

Looking further into it,

USF opened with a win over Elon,

but later on Elon beat Wofford,

so I guess it's impossible to determine who is better..

so now the football world awaits the 2009 Wofford at USF game to settle it once and for all.

Pitt beat Cincinnatii, who beat Rutgers, who beat South Florida.  He was only off by one game, so the system isn't flawed...........

When we left CDOA we agreed to play one CDOA team every year for five years.  2009 is the last year of that agreement.  In addition, CDOA gets to pick the team, which they must tell us before the start of the 2008 season.  We will probably try to get a 2 for 1 with that team so that we can fill in some gaps in future seasons, maybe 2011 and 2012.

A quick trivia question.  In what year did we play 7 homes games?  I seem to remember one back in our I-AA days

I think the CUSA exit requirement for the last game will be waived.  I remember something to that effect when the CUSA commissioner forced us to renw the UCF series for 2 additional games.

I think Sanjay is right, CUSA agreed to let us out of that 2009 game.

A couple weeks ago (after the FSU / Bama game) Bobby Bowden made a comment that FSU is interested in having a neutral site game with someone, and keeping the game site in the state of Florida.  Not long after that I thought I heard something out of the USF athletic department about being contacted for a neutral site game... might this be related?

Would anyone like to see USF vs. FSU in Jacksonville, Miami or even in a newly renovated Citrus Bowl?  This is of course assuming that Bobby Bowden is still their ballcoach after this season.
