This weekend, (to better our chances at the big Tamale)  Or if it makes no difference to the The BULLS and the B.E., who would you like to see bite the dust and why...

Logically UConn. But hopefully Rutgers to erase a tie breaker.

What about tonight's game?  I am thinking we want BC to win to knock VT out of the top ten.  They are at 8 right now so if they beat BC.  i don't see BC dropping below us if VT wins tonight.

I also think we want Kansas to be losing.  They have Texas A&M.  Oklahoma is off.  Oregon has USC.  ASU has Cal.

If we can win.  Especially impressively, we have a realistic chance to be back up to about 5 or 6 after this weekend.

Whoever wins tonight will knock the other out of the Top Ten.  BC will move right behind us in the polls if they lose.  And VT will drop even further.

Idealy...we want Ohio State to lose bad in Happy Valley, BC or VT to lose(either of which will lose one more game anyway), LSU/OK have byes.

USC should knock off Oregon.  Cal should knock off ASU.  Texas A&M need to knock off KU.  Georgia needs to beat Florida into the GROUND!!!

And then WVU should beat Rutgers in close game.

That should have all the chips fall into the right place.  I know its alot of if...but we all know that some of these calls will happen.

OH, I almost forgot...USF MUST CRUSH UCONN!!!

GO BULLS!!!

I want Oregon to beat USC, the media is all over USC's nuts if they win out and go 11-1 they would definitely jump over us in the human polls and possibly the computers as well because their schedule would be stronger once they play at Arizona State, Oregon, and Cal.

I want Rutgers to win out, but we need them to lose to WVU... BTW, if WVU also wins out, we're Big East Co-Champions... ;)

Week 9

1) USF's Game

SAT 10/27 - #11 USF (6-1, 1-1) at #29 Connecticut (6-1, 2-0) - 3:30pm [ABC | Gameplan]

2) Games involving one or more schools on USF's 2006 schedule.

SAT 10/27 - #6 West Virginia (5-1, 1-1) at #25 Rutgers (5-2, 1-3) - 12:00pm [ABC | Gameplan]

SAT 10/27 - North Carolina (2-5, 1-2) at #28 Wake Forest (5-2, 3-1) - 12:00pm [ACC GOTW | Gameplan]

SAT 10/27 - Pittsburgh (3-4, 1-1) at Louisville (4-4, 1-2) - 12:00pm [big East GOTW | Gameplan]

SAT 10/27 - Chattanooga (2-5, 2-2) at Elon (5-2, 3-1) - 1:30pm

SAT 10/27 - Louisiana-Monroe (2-5, 2-2) at Florida Atlantic (4-3, 3-0) - 4:00pm

SAT 10/27 - Ole Miss (2-6, 0-5) at #23 Auburn (5-3, 3-2) - 6:00pm

SUN 10/28 - Central Florida (4-3, 2-1) at Southern Miss - 8:00pm [ESPN]

IDLE: #40 Cincinnati (6-2, 1-2), Syracuse (2-6, 1-2)

3) Games involving at least one team ranked higher than the 2nd highest Big East team.

If the highest and 2nd highest teams can move up and up the polls, then there is at least a chance that 2 Big East teams could make the 10 BCS slots.  Big East ranks: BCS #7 West Virginia, BCS #10 USF

THU 10/25 - #2 Boston College (7-0, 3-0) at #8 Virginia Tech (6-1, 3-0) -- 7:30pm [ESPN]

SAT 10/27 - #9 USC (6-1, 3-1) at #5 Oregon (6-1, 3-1) - 3:00pm [FSN]

SAT 10/27 - #9 Florida (5-2, 3-2) at #20 Georgia (5-2, 3-2) - 3:30pm [CBS]

SAT 10/27 - #12 Kansas (7-0, 3-0) at #40 Texas A&M (6-2, 3-1) - 7:00pm [ESPN2]

SAT 10/27 - #1 Ohio State (8-0, 4-0) at Penn State (6-2, 3-2) - 8:00pm [ESPN]

SAT 10/27 - #18 California (5-2, 2-2) at #7 Arizona State (7-0, 4-0) - 10:00pm [FSN]

(NOTE: USC & Florida are tied for 9th in the AP Poll)

4) Games involving a Top 12 non-BCS team, or a Top 16 non-BCS team ranked higher than any BCS conference's highest ranked team.

If no teams from the non-BCS conferences make the BCS, then that would mean 4 at-large slots in the 5 BCS bowls.  This increases the chances for 2 Big East teams to be selected.

No Mid-Major Team is ranked in the Top 12 or ahead of the lowest BCS conference leader (BCS #7 West Virginia ).  Highest ranked non-BCS team: BCS #17 Hawaii

SUN 10/28 - New Mexico State (4-4, 1-2) at #17 Hawaii (7-0, 4-0) - 12:05 AM

5) Other games of interest, including teams ranked near USF.

USF is #11 in the AP poll.

SAT 10/27 - Mississippi State (4-3, 1-3) at #14 Kentucky (6-2, 2-2) - 12:30pm [Lincoln Financial | GAMEPLAN]

SAT 10/27 - Iowa State (1-7, 0-4) at #13 Missouri (6-1, 2-1) - 2:00pm

SAT 10/27 - #15 South Carolina (6-2, 3-2) at #36 Tennessee (4-3, 2-2) - 7:45pm [ESPN]

SAT 10/27 - Nebraska (4-4, 1-3) at #17 Texas (6-2, 2-2) - 3:30pm [ABC | Gameplan]

SAT 10/27 - Minnesota (1-7, 0-4) at #19 Michigan (6-2, 4-0) - 3:30pm [ESPN Classi]

SAT 10/27 - Duke (1-6, 0-4) @ Florida State (4-3, 0-3) - 8:00pm [ESPNU]

IDLE: #3 LSU 30  (7-1, 3-1), #4 Oklahoma (6-1, 3-1)

Unless otherwise noted, F.B.S. (I-A) rankings are Associated Press rankings and F.C.S. (I-AA) rankings are Sports Network
