The question that keeps screaming in my head is ... WHY??

WHY??

WHY??

I know that the SEC has good teams but so does the BE.

I think the BE is perfect for us and don't want to change.

But having said that ... never say never

I believe the Big East is a great place for USF and will only get better as time goes on.

We should be happy with what we have.  The BE is a great conference, and I hope we're here for a very very long time.

Yeah the SEC is good at basketball, but it's no big east or acc.

Logistics question: What would the Big Ten/'Leven start calling themselves if they had 12?

Intercollegiate Conference of Faculty Representatives ... (The first name they ever had)...  or even the Western Conference... which is also what they were called around the turn of the last century...

I believe the phrase is "yeah, and monkeys might fly out of my butt"

Have you ever seen Bruce Almighty? It could happen...  >:D

Big east is good to us, but the location of all BE schools make it hard for fans to travel. If there was an invite to the SEC, I think our alumni and students would travel a bit more too thus boosting image and the school.

Good points..

The Big East is the easiest road to a BCS bowl.  You only have to win a max of 7 games (less if every other team losses at least once.)  In the sec or acc, we would need 9 wins.  Miami use to go to a BCS bowl almost every year.  They haven't even sniffed one since joining the acc.  :ROFLMAO

Let's win a conference championship before we discuss this.

A couple of things....

1. Even someone not plugged into USF understood the win over Auburn...because it was AUBURN...

2. A win over Rutgers/Pitt/Uconn just doesn't really resonate in this particlar chunk of geography...

3. There is a conference championship game, not a de facto champion as we currently have...

4. More road trips due to close proximity of all schools.

On the other hand...

1. It is probably less dangerous to go through a BE schedule than SEC,

as far as coming out unscathed...

2. Still a BCS conference...

3. The Big East gets it's fair share of pub during basketball season...

4. Travel is reasonable, assuming you really want to go to Connecticut, Louisville or New Jersey.  8)
