ESPN has 2 Big East teams in the BCS

I don't know if this has been posted before or not, but on ESPN's week 8 bowl projections they have USF in the Orange Bowl vs Boston College and West Virigina in the Rose Bowl vs Oregon or in the Fiesta Bowl vs Oklahoma.

It looks like through Schlabach's projections, the only two who are free for the Rose Bowl spot opened up by the Big Ten's rep going to the NC game are WVU and Mizzou (besides us, of course, which'd be a dream but isn't going to happen) which is pretty much a toss-up, though Mizzou going could be a nice predecessor if the speculations are true. Anyone else there would either break a bowl tie-in or end up with a conference matchup (USC-Oregon, which isn't going to happen.)

i wouldnt go that far.  ND is not bowl eligible, and Hawaii will be lucky to get past Boise and Washington.  that leaves 2 bowl openings that were not available last year.

if the Bulls and Eers win out, USF will be BE champs and get a bowl bid, and WVU will be ranked in the Top 5 and be more than worthy of another bid.

i think that a BCS bowl appearance and subsequent win would go far in establishing national respect and a nice hometown feeling about the bulls

i would like to see this happen. its certainly a good possibility but hardlly a lock. 5 games to go

USF vs. BC in the Orange Bowl? That would be a dream for 3 reasons: 1) BCS Bowl 2) Close to home for the fan base 3) A team we will SMASH  ;D
