He was in perfect position to defend that fake FG and he went for the ball instead of covering his man.  Add in the missed team meeting before the game and this isn't all that surprisign.  He must have come out with a sour attitude this week.

I sure hope these two work to get out of that dog house!

FWIW: Murphy's replacement, Tyller Roberts, was the guy burned on the fake punt.

Murph was burned on the Fake FG, so I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Not good.

Once you get in to Leavitt's doghouse, it's difficult to get out.

Roberts is quite a step down from Murphy, in my opinion.

wonder what he did...

if it's not a violation of team rules, i think he should see more time.

i know CJL is a stickler for discipline, but there is a tremendous upside to that kid on the field.

How is Ford in the doghouse?  He isn't in the doghouse, he's just a freshman that doesn't know the entire playbook, and has fumbled a couple of times.  Trust me if he's in the doghouse the staff would have never given him the TD run against RU.

Don't miss take Ford's diminishing role as a sign of trouble.  The fact is he's still limited in his knowledge of the playbook and effectively implementing it.  It's no good if he's out on plays where he runs the wrong way, misses a block, or forgets a route.  Also, you can't send him out exclusively for only they plays he's mastered because then we'll signal to the opposition our tendencies.

It's up to Ford to learn the system and master it.  He's still new and has been playing catch-up academically since he arrived.

He missed classes before the FAU game and has not gotten to many carries since so if you add fumbles and missing classes you get into CJL's DH
