If you recall, I would routinely tear into the Sagarin system during basketball season even when we were in good graces. I've always been a RPI person. Yet it always amazes me how sometimes a team will be like 25th in the RPI but not get picked for the NCAA tournament (if their a lower-tier conference team that lost in their tournament). Yet it always amazes me how sometimes a team will be like 25th in the RPI but not get picked for the NCAA tournament (if their a lower-tier conference team that lost in their tournament). Like the bowl system, it all comes down to $$. It's not as corrupt as the bowl system(basketball, that is), but there is still some questionable subjectivity.
