We are supposed to win this game so I hope they act like it. Finish strong and don't fizzle out like rutgers did last year at Cinci and Morgantown. Huge game on Thursday. It's a short week but I think we can make a statement.

postmortem Posted October 16, 2007 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 743 Reputation: 0 Days Won: 0 Joined: 09/08/2007 Share Posted October 16, 2007 I don't think there was anything wrong with that celebration. They waited for it to be in the locker room and weren't trashing our field or hitting our logo with a sledgehammer. It was clearly something they did every week after a win. That being said I can't stand it and know that as a player it would get me fired up.

I'm not sure why it was so bad...Sure, it would get me fired up too, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings like it does with a lot of you guys. They showed it on YouTube...so what...there are worst things on YouTube. Just because ESPN got a hold of it doesn't justify that their private celebration was wrong. ESPN will do anything to get you and I to watch. Matter of fact, the media will do anything to get you and I to watch, listen, and read their stuff. For example: Just listen to the commentators talk about USF not belonging. Do you really think those guys are saying those things because they truly mean it or they give a rat's behind? C'mon people. It's the producers yapping in their ear phones instructing them to say it.

Amp Hill wasn't the reason we lost that game. Hester wasn't the reason we beat Auburn either, but when the chips were down, Hester caught the ball that hit him in the numbers and Hill didn't. I won't ever blame a win/loss on one player or one play, but he did have the chance to keep us in that game, and he dropped the ball (pun intended).
