Bulls should be first (Ohio State weak schedule),

Have an excellent shot at second,

Anything less than third would be a joke!

I wonder when was last time #1 and #2 lost on same day?

lsu loses we will be #1 in computers

Cal loses

AP will have us ahead of BC

OSU and BC have played no one

WVU and AUB are quality wins

AUB wins will be # 17-20

WVU should move up #5-7

tradition or not we deserve the # 1 spot.

ESPN had a graphic that said it was 1996 when Nebraska and Tennessee both lost.

Heard on the radio it was '96. #1 Nebraska lost to I think they said Arizona State 19-0, and #2 Tennessee lost to #4 Florida

Don't forget LSU... I bet they stay top 4 in the rankings, and probably 1 or 2 in the cpus... possible big controversy... they beat va tech (a top 10 this week), fla, and s.c. (another top 10) and their loss is on the road to a, what will be top 12 team

I officially hate Lousville. What a bunch of @$$hats. They took their loser selves who couldn't muster the gall to beat Syracuse and actually took advantage of the opportunity to hand a loss to one of the last teams in our conference with any credibility. Louisville's season is over and they're not going to get anywhere with the losses they have. They should have taken one for the conference and left Cincy get away with a close win.

This is what I keep saying over and over - we're never going to get respect for a good schedule now, and our computer rankings will go down as the season goes on, because we have no ranked opponents left. We will have played two ranked opponents, and a bunch of one-loss teams will skip ahead of us. Cincy was the last opponent on our schedule who could have been ranked, and now they've gone and screwed us by beating Cincy before we got to play them.

Rutgers and Louisville pissed the Big East's fragile credibility away by losing OOC games and to lesser opponents. Louisville now put a huge nail in the coffin, and the only thing worse would be either a USF loss or another WVU loss.

Lee Corso proved my point on Sportscenter tonight by listing his top 5 teams, and we weren't even in it. He had 1) Ohio State 2) Oregon 3) Boston College 4) Oklahoma 5) LSU. This is what the rest of the voters will do too - one-loss teams will start to leapfrog us due to our lack of name recognition, but MOSTLY due to our weaker schedule thanks to our loser conference-mates.

Whereas some of you doomsayers have been wrong each week, I have been right in being positive.  So in keeping with tradition I am calling for us to be #2 this week.  Ohio State hasn't played crap but the voters will give them #1 (for now).  We will jump over BC because we were almost in a dead heat last week and our quality wins look much better than their creampuff schedule and struggling the past 2 weeks against Umass & Notre Dame.

On a side note North Carolina put up a good fight against S Carolina today and we decimated them.  Just more reason to be impressed with our schedule so far.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
